As a pilot, while you earn your flying hours for any commercial pilot position in an Airline, you can complete your Flight instructor rating and start teaching.
Flight Instructor teaches basic and advance flight training to pilot cadets parallel to your progress as a Pilot.

As a flight instructor, you get to teach basic flight training to pilot students at the same time as you develop as a pilot.
The course consists of both theory (academic studies) and practical (flying).
As per PCAA ANO’s, the Flight instructor’s flying training course shall comprise of min. 30 hours of flying – as under supervision flight instructor with a Sr. Flight Instructor.
Here in the course for FI, you will be trained to instruct while your Sr. Flight Training instructor will act like a student.
An applicant for FI rating shall demonstrate to an examiner appointed by the authority for this purpose his/her ability to instruct a pilot cadet to the standard that is required for the issue of CPL/IR. This includes pre-flight and post-flight instructions and theoretical knowledge as well.
During the theoretical part of your certification for Flight instructor, in-depth knowledge of all aviation subjects like laws and regulations of aviation, meteorology, and aerodynamics to name a few will be covered.
Theoretical knowledge and practice in giving flight instructions, ground studies will be covered and a lot more practices to give presentations will be a major of it that will prepare you to be an Instructor.
The teaching part of your course will also include learning theory, lesson planning, instructional techniques & group drills to make sure you are capable of delivering your message to various types of students.
